"Dirty Deal"

I was on set while this was being filmed and thought I'd share it with this blog's audience. This short film is the Directorial debut of Irving Mercado. I've worked with him on previous projects such as: "The Hidden View", "On The Road to Fame", "The Applicant", & "The Race". He has a creative mind, a keen eye, and a knack for acting. Along with Phoenix Films Entertainment as Director of Photography this short film will surely entertain you.

On Set of "The Treasure Chest"

Recently Motivating Minds Media was invited to a film set called "The Treasure Chest" Directed by Keith Hartgrove. It was a great experience meeting and working along side an awesome cast and crew. Here are some behind the seen photos.

On The Road To Fame

Spreading Monkeys: An unscripted short film

Director's Cut of "Spreading Monkeys".

A local snitch Vladamir (played by Brian "The Beast" Brody) is caught in a tough situation when two bone headed detectives send him in to rat on two dealers.

Short Film Directorial debut for Motivating Minds Media. This particular production had no script or preparation work. This was completely off the cuff, after a master shot was taken of one scene, the director took the remaining cast, developed, and rehearsed the scenes while the previous one was still being filmed. I hope you enjoy.

Spreading Monkeys

With no script nor any preparation Motivating Minds Media & Phoenix Films Entertainment banded together to create a short film comedy about; A local snitch Vladamir (played by Brian "The Beast" Brody) is caught in a tough situation when two bone headed detectives send him in to rat on two dealers. 

This is a short film Directorial debut for Motivating Minds Media and what better way to show case our talents than with an unscripted film. The Director of Photography Phoenix Films Entertainment was also the editor of this  version appearing above.

Motivating Minds Media will be releasing their "Extended Cut" tomorrow. Thank you all for your support.

An Interesting Turn of Events...

I know in my previous posting, I said that we'd have some exclusive footage of The Difference aka Tuco during his photo shoot; but due to unforeseen circumstances the shoot was canceled last minute. Seeing as the Phoenix Films Entertainment team & the Motivating Minds Media group was assembled, we came up with an idea and decided to shoot a short film with no script what so ever. This truly was a day to remember with the, good laughs and endless supply of outtakes/ behind the scenes footage. Here are some still photo's taken today.

The Hidden View

The Hidden View is a joint project between Motivating Minds Media & Phoenix Films Entertainment. This joint venture will be a weekly show broadcast through Youtube, showcasing a diverse selection of the Miami Art Scene. We will interview local Painters, Bands, Rappers, Art Galleries, Tattoo Artists, etc. Allowing our viewers to get to know the artists and reveal a side of Miami too few truly know about. The Difference, Royal, & Spokenn- Thou Shall

First music video I Co-Directed and Edited. It was shot in multiple locations around Miami, Florida; using a Cannon 5D mark II and a 3 person crew. In the 1st scene we didn't have a dolly or tracks so we improvised by filming while sitting in the trunk of a car. In the final scene, we chose to use a mural painted by "Hest" of the MSG Cartel.
