Motivating Minds Media teamed up with Phoenix Films Entertainment once again to introduce the public to Angel. Directed by myself, Cinematography by Phoenix Films Ent., the video was written by the artist Angel. We shot this in two days over various locations in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.

Here's the teaser I released to the music video.

And with no further delay here is the actual music video, Edited by: Motivating Minds Media.

FAME

The 2nd Annual FAME Event was a great experience. FAME is a Fashion, Art, Music, and Entertainment networking event. Allowing local Miami artists and companies to showcase their talents. The event was August 5th. Here are some photo's from last year's event.

My First 48

The 48 Hour Film Project is an excellent, wild, and stressful experience for filmmakers. This competition gives you 48 hours (one weekend) to write, shoot, edit, and turn in your completed film. On a Friday night team leaders and contest orchestrator gather together at a single location where the teams find out their required character, job title, line of dialogue, prop, and genre.

Drawn from a hat our team received the genre, Dark Comedy. Our other required elements were:
Character - Andy Sterling, Journalist
Line of Dialogue - "Say it like you mean it!"
Prop - Fast Food Package of Ketchup or Mustard

We gathered a large group of extremely talented film students. 15 of us set out to dominate the 48 in what would be everyone's first attempt at the contest. We originally planned to work in shifts, allowing people to sleep in turns. That plan quickly changed as everyone's adrenaline began to surge in anticipation of completing this project in time. We finished our script at 11p.m. Friday night and prepared to film.

Here are a few select photo's from that weekend.

More behind the scenes photo's can be found on my Facebook page by clicking HERE.

We were unsuccessful in turning the film in time by the 7:30p.m. deadline. We arrived at the drop off location 5minutes late which meant our film would be screened but not be qualified to win any awards other than the audience favorite.

Over all the experience was very rewarding it showed everyone involved what we could really do in such a short amount of time. It was my first time as a UPM (Unit Production Manager) and sparked my interest in becoming a possible Producer in future projects.

I hope you enjoy:
"You Don't Like It?"

"The Right Choice"

I'm proud to be able to showcase yet another Directorial debut from fellow film maker Daniel Colon. This project dates back to May 4th, 2011. Directed & Written by Daniel, this short film to submit to a Bridgestone Safety Contest. On this particular project I worked closely with him as his Assistant Director & Assistant Editor. Over all this was a great experience, we worked with a great group of filmmakers. Cinematography was by Phoenix Films Entertainment and other members of the production crew included Victor Martinez & Ibzan Lagos. Last but not least, I'd like to thank the beautiful and talented Aydilen Defana for helping us with the project.

It's Been Awhile

I know it's been a year since my last post, but I'm back and over the next couple days I will bring my blog back and up-to-date. Showcasing projects I've been working on since last May.

Welcome back everyone... I hope you enjoy!
